She would rather die than be defiled by these vile scoundrels. Liu Xiaoxiao, tears brimming in her beautiful eyes, clambered onto the windowsill, ready to take a heroic leap.
“Xiaoxiao, where did you run off to late at night? I’ve been looking for you! Hey, what are you doing on the windowsill? Stargazing?”
A casual, slightly mocking voice drifted over, causing Liu Xiaoxiao’s delicate face to stiffen.
Under everyone’s surprised gazes, Shen Yifei grinned as he pushed open the suite door and strode in.
Cao Bao couldn’t help but freeze, his gaze sizing up Shen Yifei with a strange intensity. He bellowed, “Who the hell are you, kid? How did you get in?”
Shen Yifei ignored him, walking straight to Liu Xiaoxiao’s side.
“Damn it, Boss Bao’s talking to you! Are you deaf, you punk?”
A thug with bleached hair, eager to show his loyalty to Cao Bao, was the first to charge, grabbing for Shen Yifei’s collar.
“Deaf? Not at all. But if you want to be a cripple, I can certainly oblige!”
The words barely left his lips before Shen Yifei seized the man’s arm, pulling and twisting.
A sickening *crack* echoed, followed by a piercing shriek. The thug’s arm had been brutally wrenched off by Shen Yifei. He crumpled to the ground, cradling his mangled limb and screaming incessantly.
The entire group of thugs erupted in fury, and Cao Bao was absolutely incandescent. This was beyond outrageous! What mere nobody dared to raise a hand in front of *him*?
“You got a death wish, kid?!”
“Damn it, kill this bastard!”
Several of Cao Bao’s lieutenants, unable to contain their rage, rushed forward like rabid dogs, each pulling out a dagger.
Liu Xiaoxiao’s face turned ashen, but before she could cry out, Shen Yifei merely shrugged, as if these enforcers were utterly beneath his notice.
Seeing Shen Yifei’s completely unbothered expression, the thugs boiled with even greater rage. This man was unbelievably arrogant!
However, Cao Bao suddenly roared, “Get back! Don’t move yet!”
The hulking figures instantly froze, as if their fuses had fizzled out, and retreated.
Cao Bao sneered, striding forward. He scrutinized Shen Yifei for a few moments, his face alight with disdain. “You’re the kid who drove that BMW X6 last time, aren’t you?”
Shen Yifei chuckled. “That’s me. What, looking for another beating?”
Cao Bao exploded in fury. “You’ve got a death wish, punk, talking so brazenly in front of *me*?”
Shen Yifei ignored Cao Bao, taking Liu Xiaoxiao’s arm and gently pulling her off the windowsill. He said with a grin, “Xiaoxiao, why are you always such a handful? Didn’t I tell you not to wander out in the middle of the night? But you never listen, and now look, you’ve run into a pack of rabid dogs, haven’t you?”
Liu Xiaoxiao was utterly speechless. At a time like this, how could this guy still be smiling?
She had seen Shen Yifei fight once before, that night, and his skill was undeniable. But facing such a large group of hulking brutes, Liu Xiaoxiao truly doubted Shen Yifei could escape unscathed.
Initially, Liu Xiaoxiao had genuinely resigned herself to death. Shen Yifei’s sudden appearance made her wonder if she was hallucinating. Feeling the warmth of his palm, an inexplicable emotion welled up from deep within her.
“Isn’t this all your fault from last time? Now I’m the one taking the fall—that’s just not fair!” Liu Xiaoxiao pinched Shen Yifei’s back with her small hand, tears still glistening in her eyes.
It was the first time Shen Yifei had seen Liu Xiaoxiao make such a resentful expression, and he found it rather amusing. He chuckled. “Xiaoxiao, aren’t I here playing the hero? At a time like this, shouldn’t you be thanking me?”
“Dream on!” Liu Xiaoxiao clung tightly to Shen Yifei’s arm, biting her lip. “Don’t you dare tell me you can’t beat them, or I’ll despise you!”
In this situation, she could only rely on Shen Yifei. If it came to it, she’d rather face certain death with him as a pair of desperate lovers!
Shen Yifei suddenly found the girl quite interesting. He couldn’t help but tease, “Xiaoxiao, you think too highly of me. Look at these guys—each one as big as an ox. How could I possibly be their match?”
“Pfft!” Liu Xiaoxiao almost burst out laughing. “As big as an ox”? That’s quite a bizarre description.
Hearing that, the hulking thugs’ faces all turned dark with rage.
They had seen arrogance before, but never to such an outrageous degree.
Cao Bao’s face was livid. He sneered, “Kid, you’ve got guts! I was originally going to show you some respect, seeing as your street racing skills aren’t bad, but you spit in my face by injuring my man! Do you even know who *I* am? Back when I was clearing entire blocks, you were still sucking on your mother’s teats!”
Cao Bao knew full well that his street racing skills were worlds apart from Shen Yifei’s. But even if he couldn’t beat Shen Yifei in a race, he could cripple one of his hands. Then, let’s see if he could still race!
“Cut the crap,” Shen Yifei said languidly. “I don’t care how many blocks you’ve cleared. If you’re going to fight, do it now! Just so you know, don’t say I bullied you later!”
At these words, Cao Bao nearly collapsed onto the floor in a fit of rage. “Bully *me*?! Who the hell do you think you are, you brainless idiot!”
“Or, if you don’t want to fight,” Shen Yifei said, a sly smile playing on his lips, “you can just compensate me a few million. We can settle this privately.”
Cao Bao’s face turned purple with fury. He felt that if he listened to Shen Yifei any longer, he’d suffer a cerebral hemorrhage. Immediately, he tore off his suit jacket, ripped open his tie, revealing his burly chest muscles. He clenched his fists, and his entire skeleton crackled and popped.
Each muscle group stood out like bulging steel cannonballs, his entire physique a knotted mass of sinew. Cao Bao stretched his arms, a ferocious snarl on his face, and advanced on Shen Yifei.
To fully vent his boiling rage, Cao Bao decided to deal with Shen Yifei personally, to make this arrogant brat understand the true gap in their strength!
“Kid, since you’re so eager to die, I’ll grant your wish! If I cripple you later, it’s not my responsibility!” Cao Bao roared, his voice laced with aggression.
“Don’t—” Liu Xiaoxiao’s heart pounded. Before she could finish her sentence, Shen Yifei playfully covered her mouth.
Shen Yifei merely smiled at Cao Bao. “Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you. At least I won’t kill you.”
The words hung in the air, and the entire room fell into stunned silence.
The thugs and bodyguards stared at Shen Yifei as if he were an utter imbecile.
The cigarette in Cao Bao’s mouth dropped to the floor. His face cycled between green and white, and in his furious rage, he secretly swore: if he didn’t cripple Shen Yifei right here, he’d change his name!
“You bastard, die!”
Cao Bao pressed both arms onto Shen Yifei’s shoulders, suddenly exerting immense force.
He had expected to expend some effort to subdue Shen Yifei. To his surprise, Shen Yifei offered not the slightest resistance, his shoulders firmly clamped in Cao Bao’s powerful grip.
*Damn it, he’s just a weakling, has no skill at all! What a waste of my dramatic buildup!* Cao Bao thought with utter contempt. He gripped harder, intending to simply snap Shen Yifei’s arms.
“Boss Bao is mighty!”
“Boss Bao, kill that suicidal punk!”
The hulking thugs cheered, their faces alight with mockery. They could already envision the scene: Shen Yifei’s arms being savagely crushed by Cao Bao.
Just how terrifying Boss Bao’s combat prowess was, none of these enforcers knew better.
If Cao Bao didn’t possess serious skill, Sun Huo (the second-in-command of the Hua Long Gang, a notorious criminal organization) wouldn’t have entrusted him with such a large operation.
Back in the day, Cao Bao alone could “clear a block”—a single-handed rampage where none could stand against him. He was known as one of the Hua Long Gang’s Four Battle Commanders, a trusted enforcer under Boss Sun Huo.
Shen Yifei raised an eyebrow. This hulking figure before him seemed deceptively weak, yet he clearly possessed some genuine skill! Such a degree of raw power wasn’t merely from developed muscles; this guy had likely trained in body-hardening martial arts (Iron Body techniques).
